Well I have had plenty of time to
ponder one simple fact...
People are basically rude.
Let me explain myself. I was talking
to this guy at work today. He was
asking me all sorts of questions. He was a really awesome person - or
so it seems - and we had a lovely conversation. I personally find it
interesting to talk to people from other parts of the country to see
how they talk and such. Well anyway...the conversation starts to turn
to what I look like. Well anyone who knows me, knows that that will
make me uncomfortable. I mean really...when someone askes you if you
are pretty...how do you respond to that? It really makes me nervous
because I don't want to say yes, sound concited and have this person
not like me; but yet you don't want to say no because the chances of
that person hanging up on you increase like 50% if you say..."Well to
tell you the truth...I weigh 300 pounds and I look like a gorilla cuz I
quit shaving!" I mean really its such a sticky situation.
I didn't quit shaving and I don't
weigh 300 pounds or look like a
gorilla - maybe that is what I should have said. "I weigh under 300
pounds, and I DON'T look like a gorilla!" I mean really how do you
expect someone to answer a question like that?!
Personally I don't care what a person
looks like...its there
personality that makes all the difference. I know so many good looking
guys that are just butt-heads and vice versa so its just like...I want
to get to know a person first before I make any decision. But I have a
problem with trusting people. I trust too much!
