Preach God’s
Word, Stick to Sound Doctrine

A look at
Paul’s last words to Timothy before being martyred for Christ
should shed light for us today in these last days we live. Paul
was facing his tribulation and in his last hour of trial, he had
very important words for his spiritual son, Timothy. The last
words Paul wrote to Timothy were very prophetic and provided
guidance and wisdom to the young Timothy after Paul’s
martyrdom…the same is very true for us today.
There is
no doubt that we are living in the last days and those who are
still in denial of this fact are only wasting time and being
deceived by Satan. It is high time that we wakeup to reality and
begin to walk the talk in these last and very evil days. I will
remind you that no secret rapture will save you out of the
sufferings and tribulations in this last hour, God’s Word will
be your guidance and nothing else.
There is
a great separation and transition going on in Christianity,
especially in the West. Very few years from now Christianity
will cease to be known as associated today with pomp, prosperity
gospel, purpose driven and humanistic doctrines. Many are making
decisions to leave Babylonian humanistic outcome based
Christianity. Jesus Christ is orchestrating a separation of the
wheat from the tares and none can stop it. True Jesus Christ
loving Christians very soon will be known as those who are
Christ-like and behave and act like their master Jesus Christ.
However,
as these transitions take place and at a very fast rate, with
the eyes of many being opened to Truth. It is my appeal that we
shall follow Paul’s admonishment to Timothy…Preach the Word. I
know there are many websites, offering prophetic insight from
many sources including native Indian Chiefs, dreams, visions,
prophetic words, insights from former CIA officers on the New
World Order (NWO), economic experts, former military officers,
weather experts, and many research news sources. There is no
doubt that they do provide wisdom in what they say. Their hearts
testify that something is not right and that we are approaching
a climax in this age. However, let God’s Word be the ultimate
for us as Christians. Let us heed to the warnings of Paul to
Timothy…
1 Timothy
4: 1-2
1
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ,
who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his
kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out
of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and
doctrine.
Paul’s
charge to Timothy is the same to all who love and worship Jesus
Christ in Truth and Spirit, before the Lord Jesus Christ who
will judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His
Kingdom that we preach nothing else but The Word of the Living
God. This is something we have to take seriously especially for
the out of church Christians or those who have quit Christendom
purpose driven humanistic prosperity churches. We cannot forsake
sound doctrine for fables and stories. These are the very things
we left in our Babylonian churches. Those with any ministry
should take this warning from Christ seriously in these last
days.
There is
a lot of information from various sources but our test for what
we receive should be based on God’s Word and not just some Elk
Native Indian Chief or some guy who claimed to sight a UFO. I
know I am walking on a fine line here and stepping on toes but
let everything be tested on God’s Word. It is ultimate…let all
men be Lairs and God True. Anything that does not line up with
God’s Word and sound doctrine should be left out…all spiritual
junk food should be left and departed from…we should not have
any share with works of darkness that sometimes appear as angels
of light…test all things hold on to that which is true…
Paul’s
advice to Timothy was clear and precise…
-
Preach the Word…
-
Be
instant in season and out of season…
-
Reprove…
-
Rebuke…
-
Exhort with all long suffering and doctrine…
Some are
really mad at real Bible preachers, they claim that such
preachers are judgmental, hard, very harsh and unloving…that
they don’t “care” like Jesus Christ did…such Christians with
this thinking don’t read their bibles and don’t know what John
The Baptist, Jesus Christ or the Apostles preached…they think
love has to do with smooth talking…the only remedy I have for
such Christians is to turn off their TV Screens, radios, and
newspapers for a month and re-read the Bible from Genesis to
Revelation…maybe that will help.
1 Timothy
4:3-4
3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn
away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Paul gives us
the reasons for his very strong charge to Timothy before Jesus
Christ. Paul clearly prophesies about our times in which men
will not endure sound doctrine but after their own lusts heap to
themselves preachers and spiritual entertainers who satisfy
their cravings. I am not lashing out at prophetic end time
websites and e-mail lists. I hope I will be read correctly…
…It is good
that we have all these things but I have noticed that people
tend to forget that the whole bible is prophetic and as such all
sound doctrine should be…it all points to Jesus Christ and His
glorious Kingdom. However, I have noticed people are hooked up
to not watch but just enjoy spiritual prophetic entertainment
and forsaking the whole counsel of God’s Word. This ought not to
be so.
This warning
and admonishment is especially critical for all who run
Christian informational websites and e-mail lists with myself
included…lets stick to sound doctrine and preach nothing but the
unfailing and unadulterated Word of God. It is good God gives
us dreams, visions, and prophetic words, and we get the views
and ideas of experts in economic fields, military, news,
research etc, however let's test all this with God’s Word and let
them just be a confirmation of what God has already told us in
His Word. I don’t care if the Chief Elk or some Ex CIA
substantiates what God has said or not…God’s Holy Word will
still stand and be fulfilled even with none of the expert
confirmations.
Our ultimate
goal as ministers should be to lead people to Jesus Christ not
our selves, to point them to the Lord that they may have a one
to one deep growing relationship with Jesus Christ and resolute
love for His True and Holy Word. And to the readers, the goal
should not be spiritual entertainment but that you will enhance
your relationship with Jesus Christ…that you will not be side
tracked to fables and stories…but as you watch in these end
times as Jesus Christ told us to, you will get deeper in a
personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have Holy awe for
His Word as you see it being fulfilled before your very eyes in
this last hour.
So, even as we
watch and stay alert, let us also watch that we never deviate
from God’s Word and Sound Doctrine; that we watch to continue in
a life of holiness and righteousness heeding to Paul’s charge to
Timothy to Preach The Word because…
-
A time will
come when they will not endure sound doctrine…
-
But after
their own lusts heap for themselves teachers…
-
Having
itching ears…
-
And they
turn away from truth…
-
And shall
be turned to fables…
Let's stay awake
that we don’t simply turn to fables and stories because we want
the latest dream, vision, word from a native chief, some Indian
guru, Catholic Mother Mary Prophets, the latest Israeli Rabbi
predictions, the latest UFO sighting, the latest New World Order
trickery, latest prediction about when the DOW and NASDAQ will
collapse…lets not be turned to fables…let's not cloud our souls
with spiritual junk food…let's not ignore The whole counsel of
God’s word and simply have itching ears for the latest end time
prophetic drift…let God’s Word judge and test all these
things…hold onto that which is true, pure and holy in God’s
sight.
1 Timothy 4:5-6
5
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of
an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Yes, Paul
reminds Timothy to watch but not in some things, he
charges Timothy to watch in all things…in context of
God’s Holy Word and Sound Doctrine. Again, I would like to state
that I am not against dreams and visions or prophetic words, I
do get a lot of these myself but we cannot simply feed on dreams
and visions, we need the whole counsel of God’s Word and every
dream and prophetic word should be tested by God’s Holy Word.
Interestingly, Paul charges Timothy to also do the work on an
Evangelist…yes, as you watch, the goal should be to warn all men
to repent and turn to Jesus Christ…
…Evangelists do
exactly that. They point men to Jesus Christ and share the need
of men to repent warning them of the looming judgment and wrath
of God that will come on the ungodly, admonishing men every
where to repent and get forgiveness in Christ Jesus alone…this
should be our duty in these last days. Paul charges Timothy to
also endure afflictions and for those who still think that they
are going to have a good time as Christians in this last hour
are only deceiving themselves.
Things are
going to get worse and ugly. Your positive confession will not
stop it, your positive thoughts won’t change an ounce of what
the Bible says will happen…stop the ‘wimpy’ and ‘cry baby’
Christian attitude and wakeup…endure afflictions as a soldier of
Christ. The call is out for endurance and perseverance.
1 Timothy 4:
6-9
6
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure
is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have
finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day:
and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his
appearing. 9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto
me:
Paul gave an
example for Timothy to follow…after he endured and persevered
persecutions and tribulation sufferings, he was to endure
beheading…this was what many Christians endured during then…not
a time for ‘cry baby’ and positive possibility purpose driven
Christians. The call is out again today and many will end just
like Paul did...they will be killed for the gospel and standing
for truth. However, remember this is all in context with Paul
holding to God’s Holy Word and Sound Doctrine of Jesus Christ
that offered salvation for all who believed in Christ Jesus…he
was being persecuted for that and so will you in this last hour.
1 Timothy 4:
10-21
10
For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and
is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto
Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and
bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the
ministry. 12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.
13 The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when
thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the
parchments. 14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much
evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: 15
Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our
words. 16 At my first answer no man stood with me,
but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to
their charge. 17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with
me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully
known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered
out of the mouth of the lion. 18 And the Lord shall
deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his
heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
19 Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of
Onesiphorus. 20 Erastus abode at Corinth: but
Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick. 21 Do thy
diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and
Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren. 22
The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you.
Amen.
Paul’s example
in this piece of Scripture should serve as a warning to us and
help with our discernment. We see that Demas decided to forsake
God’s Holy word and Sound Doctrine and fell in love with the
world, which is enmity with God. Many will return to the world
because they seek comfort but we are not those who turn back but
wait the glorious appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ…for the
just must live by faith.
Some forsook
Paul because of the Word of God for which He stood and the Sound
Doctrine of Jesus Christ. Alexander decided to do great harm to
Paul and oppose God’s Word and Sound Doctrine of Jesus
Christ…Paul’s warning goes out to us that such people we are to
be aware of and watch to see that they don’t turn us to
fables…such many will appear in this last hour but our guide is
the Word of God and The Holy Spirit. Likewise I charge all you
that Preach The Word and Stick to Sound Doctrine.
I challenge all
to take time and read Psalms 119 prayerfully and ask The Holy
Spirit for a new passion and love for His word in this last
hour.

Christ Jesus
