| RULE BOOK USE OF SPARES (New 2006-07) In order to alleviate attendance problems, the league has decided to use a spares list this year. Last year we had a few defaulted games because too few players showed up. We will be using spares for the regular season only. Here are the rules of use around the spares list. 1) Only players on the spares list can be called up. 2) A team can only go to the spares list to bring their roster up to 10 players. A team can only go to the spares list if the team knows that less than 10 players will be attending the game. 3) To call up a spare, the team captain contacts the Spares Coordinator (me) or his designate (I will let you know when someone takes over for me) . The Coordinator will call the next candidate on the list, and work down the list until a replacement is found. 4) Once a player on the list is called up and plays, his name goes back to the bottom of the list. 5) If a called up player is a no-show, Rule 4 applies. 6) If a player is called three times but declines to play, he goes to the bottom of the list. 7) The team captain calling up a player, is responsible for collecting ten dollars from the replacement player. The captain turns the money over to the Spares Coordinator. If the spare player does not pay, he is off the list untill full payment is received. 8) The Spares Coordinator will manage the Spares List. RULES OF PLAY Duration of the Game: Penalties: Offsides: Body Contact: No body contact permitted Slapshots: No slapshots permitted (a stick raised above the ankle is considered a slaphot) Fighting: |
