| Idora Park was opened in 1895 as a trolley park in Youngstown, Ohio. The name Idora was picked by a school teacher who won a contest. The park closed in 1984 due to a fire that destroyed the premier ride. A small amusement park called Conneaut Lake in Pennsylvania is trying to buy a couple of rides and an old rollercoaster for there park. |
