Chippewa Lake
Chippewa Lake was opened in 1878.  I'm pretty sure it was a trolley park because train tracks run through the village. The park closed in 1978 right after it celebrated its centennial. Most of the park remains including the ballroom  and the premiere coaster the Big Dipper  which looks like a car is holding up one of the turnarounds. The ticket stall is also caving in. If you would like to see the park it is located on county route 19 just  west of Eastlake Ave. But to warn you the area is residential  and if you decide to go in the neighbors might call the cops. To find the park look for the old park sign that says Chippewa Lake Park Community.
