STUDENT OF THE MONTH
KAYLA JURRENS

The K-M Exchange Club student of the month for November is Kayla Jurrens.

Kayla is the daughter of Steve and Wanda Jurrens of Kasson. Academically, Kayla ranks in the top 10% of her class and has been consistently on the A honor roll in grades 9-12.

In addition to being highly successful in the classroom, Kayla is also very active in extra curricular activities. She has been a very successful volleyball player throughout grades 9-12, she has been a member of the Kasson-Mantorville band, and jazz band, and also the honor band. She is the president of the local SADD chapter and also volunteers her time as a Sunday school teacher at her church. In her spare time, she has a part time job at the State Theater. Kayla's hobbies include rock climbing, traveling and going to concerts.

After graduation, Kayla plans to attend the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities, where she will pursue a major in communications at the Liberal Arts College.

Kayla lives by the philosophy that you should be you own person and believe in your dreams. Kayla Jurrens is very deserving of being selected as the Student of the Month for November.
