Julie Mund

2004-05 March Student of the Month

The March Student of the Month is Julie Mund. Julie is the daughter of Ann Mund of Kasson and Jeff Mund of Lake City.

 Academically, Julie has achieved a 3.920 GPA on a 4.0 scale over her high school career which has also consistently earned her honor roll status. She is ranked 15 in her graduating class of 141.

 In school, Julie has kept herself busy with a variety of clubs including SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions); FFA (Future Farmers of America), vice president; National Honor Society; Link Crew; and Science Olympiad. Out of school, Julie is involved with GIFT, which is an after school program at her church, and is an assistant manager at the State Theatre in Kasson.

 One philosophy that Julie feels has helped her be successful in and out of school is the following quote from the Core, “You are never truly a leader until you have failed”.

 After graduation Julie will be attending Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Julie plans to double major in chemistry and religion with the goal of becoming a veterinarian.
