December
Erica Madery, daughter of Marlin and Susanne Madery of Mantorville, is the December K-M Exchange Club Student of the Month
Academically, Erica has consistently been an A Honor Roll student and ranks in the top 17% of her graduating class. Erica's philosophy that has helped her be successful both in and out of school is "to be positive and to treat others how I would like to treated."
Erica has been involved in a number of activities, including student council (11-12), class president (10-12), Peer Helpers (10-12), Link Crew Leader (12), SADD (9-12), basketball (9-10), FCCLA (10-11), choir (9-12) and track (9-10). Erica was also in the Miss Mantorville pageant and honored as 2nd Princess and Miss Congeniality.
Outside of school, Erica works part-time for Project Kids as an assistant. She is active in her church youth choir and has served on a mission trip to Honduras. During her free time, Erica likes to spend time with friends and family, reading, playing games and shopping.
After graduation Erica plans to attend the University of Minnesota at Mankato and major in nursing. Her future goal is to become a nurse anesthetist and to work at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
