As I visited with a fellow Christian one evening I was asked, "how can you believe in once saved always saved?".  I, like others who believe that Jesus shed His precious blood for my past, present and future, began to explain my beliefs and my conviction.  I have faith that God, our heavenly father, intended for us to believe that Jesus' sacrifice was for our eternal salvation.  I then believe that we are to strive to do the LORD'S will.  He gave me His word to read and to listen too.  He gave me the Holy Spirit to comfort me and to convict me.

I see the Holy Spirit as a staff from the shepherd to keep me close and away from danger.
I believe that once my name was written in the Lamb's Book for Life, I am never to be forgotten or left alone no matter what.
Another question was, "how can you go and do anything you want and still be saved?". I had to say that if one is saved he or she will not want to do "just anything".  He or she will  want to do the Lord's will.  A saved person will not want to sin anymore.
There is another question, "what if a Christian person does sin?".  Does God just throws us into hell without any problem?".  No I don't believe that.  One sin is no greater or less than another sin. The Bible says, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  Romans 3:23
"
For God so loved the world that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3 :16
God has justified us freely through redemption that is in Jesus Christ.
Faith is the only condition of salvation.
Acts 16:30-34
"
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
(Philippian jailer)  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.  And they spoke unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.  And he(Philipain jailer) took them the same hour of the night and washed their(Paul & Silas) stripes, and was baptized, he and all his immediately.
And when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house
There is a very important part to this example God has given us.  It does not say that this family never had problems or were never tempted by the devil.  Nor does the writter (Paul) follow this family to tell us whether they all lived the rest of their lives without sin.  He said that the Jailer's whole house believed in GOD.  I read that as forever.
Salvation is not a license to sin.  Salvation is our gift from sin.  We have a plan from God to keep us from sin.  We have to acknowledge our sins and remember that Jesus said go and sin no more.
Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Romans 6: 10 For in that He died, He died unto sin once; but in that He liveth, he liveth unto God.
Nothing can seperate us from GOD'S love for us.  His love is JESUS.  In Romans 8:35-39 we are promised security.  Not things in the present or things to come can seperate us.  If we believe in GOD's love for us we will confess our sins to Him, we will want to be clean before Him.  Our minds are new with the knowledge that He just wants us to believe and remember HE gave us HIS Son.  We who have chosen salvation, our God has justified.  How can we not have Faith in everything God has for us?  Sin is forgiven through Jesus Christ.  We as flesh have to have faith that God has forgiven us.  After all it was HIS idea to save us in the first place.
It is my job as a Christian, as a believer, to keep myself from sinning to resist temptation.  I have been given life now I have to show GOD I truly believe.  Why? If I can't loose my salvation then why worry about not sinning? God has given me His GREATEST GIFT.  I will be greatful with the LIFE I have been given.  I will love Him as He loves me.  I am not perfect but I am SAVED.  PRAISE GOD FOR FORGIVNESS!
God Bless you all and may you always remember that JESUS is our gift and accepting HIM is the only way to eternal life.
HOW CAN YOU BELEIVE THAT ONCE YOU ARE SAVED YOU WILL ALWAYS BE SAVED?
