Meet "The Girls": MacKenzie and Samantha
born August 27, 1999
Hello, we're Mackenzie and Samantha, Mac and Sam, for short.  We are green rumped parrotlets.  We are sisters and best friends.  We have never been separated since we hatched! Sometimes we squabble like all sisters do, but we can not stand to be apart for a second.  We needed to be placed in separate cages because we each wanted on own space but we are still right next to one another.

We love to cause mischief.  We chew on everything: our toys, paper, and even people's fingers.  We do not mean to hurt!!!  Okay, sometimes we do!  We know how to escape from our cage and sometimes when no one is looking, we go exploring.  We love to get into everything!!

Our love of chewing also includes chewing our own feathers.  MacKenzie is what our mommy calls a compulsive feather plucker.  She has to wear her pink necklace so that she doesn't hurt herself anymore.  Sammie likes to follow suit occasionally and pull out some of her own feathers but she tries hard to be good!
