After the class finishes their bell ringer activity (falcon flyer-problems covered the day before) I will have a helper give each child a Hershey�s milk chocolate bar, as they are getting these I will go over the directions of the activity we are about to do.
On the over head I will have:
1. Wash hands with baby wipe.
2. Take chocolate bar out of package
3. Break it into the squares and place it onto their napkin.
4. Do not eat anything�..
5. Listen as I read the book on fractions.
I will be gin reading The Hershey�s Milk Chocolate Fractions Book
As I am reading the book I will show the pictures to the class. Each picture shows how to do fractions with the pieces of milk chocolate. After we are done with this fun way to learn fractions I will have the students eat their chocolate bar and then wash their hands with the 2nd baby wipe.
I will take questions and comments.
We will then do independent practice worksheet of 10-15 problems on fractions.

We will then play a game of fraction bingo. We will play 3-4 games. The winners will get 2 extra points on their test on fractions on Friday. I will go over the rules and we will begin playing.
