For those of you who are just like me and remember such great children's shows as Pinwheel and Today's Special, this page is just for you! I hope it brings back many fond memories!

Both of the shows aired in the 80s on Nickelodeon. Pinwheel, as I remember it, was an all day show that had many little skits in it, and Today's Special was about a department store. There was Sam, Jodi, Jeff and Muffy. Jeff was a mannequin that came to life when someone said the magic words. Sam and Muffy were both puppets. Those are just the basics about each show.

According to the December 1985 issue of National Geographic, Pinwheel aired weekdays from 9am until 2pm. It was preceded and followed by Today's Special, which came on at 8:30 am and 2 pm.

I have also found that a video was made called "The Pinwheel Songbook"(1981). The best place to look for it is at garage sales and flea markets, and email other pinwheel people to see if they can make you a copy(if they have it). I am still looking for a copy in the box.

I have recently acquired three hours of Pinwheel actually taped off of television. Now what I have is a copy of a copy and the quality is not great. And I DO NOT have the resources to make copies for others. I am only telling you to let you know that there are copies out there. Keep looking around. You never know where you will find one!!
