I walk alone
On this bitter embarkment
To find a place my soul can rest
For the pain that captured me
Has now devoured me
And I am nothing but a scoundrel at best
I walk alone
In the horror of what I've become
A coward and beast
A fiend and foe
Adversary that clutches your very being
And I prod my nails into you and won't let go
Yet I,
Yes even I, brought it all upon myself
And still I walk alone
I Walk Alone

I wrote this poem for a poetry contest at KevinMax.com. Basically this poem is about past mistakes. Yet along the way you've changed as a person, but you still have the reputation of who you were, and it's hard to get away from that.
