  What's new on the WMA-ZONE?
7 minutes and 5 seconds of EXCLUSIVE WMA files!  We encode files that others don't.  Instead of just another song that you can find a million places else where, in this zone we strive for originality, so that person find that file that can be found nowhere else in this format.

After doing some searching on AltaVista, I discovered that MP4 lost the multimedia compression battle for some time (mpeg-4 video is out there today and getting more popular).  Windows Media Audio [WMA] is today's ultimate compressed audio format...  it's already showing up on the web!  WMA is a audio compression technology developed by Microsoft.

Now better than ever, Windows Media Audio & Windows Media Video rock the house!!!  The all NEW Windows Media codecs are by far the best.
What does this mean?
Small file sizes (i.e. faster downloads)!  Windows Media Audio (WMA) files have ONE-THIRD the size of MP3!  This means FM quality sound can be streamed using a normal dial-up connection!  Near-DVD quality video at a seriously reduced 500 kbps (kilobits per second) can be reached using the new Windows Media Video (WMV) codec (That means near-DVD quality video can be streamed if you have a typical DSL or cable modem connection).
