Study
of tank wall effect (Final Year Project):
One of the limiting conditions for conducting towing tank tests is the
breadth of the test model, in comparison with the tank dimensions
(breadth). The tank wall influence is well recorded in terms of
augmentation of resistance due to the tank wall effect. The project took
up the tank wall effect in more rigorous way, CFD as a tool. Commercial
CFD solver Fluent6.0 was used. |
- Design
of Mid-Ship, Rudder and Propeller for a Tanker: This design oriented project
consists of Design of a Mid-Ship Section, Rudder and Propeller for a
Tanker using AutoCAD, according to classification society rules, in the
course CASDD.

Determination of Drag Resistance: A project involving estimation of
form and frictional resistance of a tug boat model at different carriage
speed and at different angle in Towing Tank (82m*3.2m*2.5m deep with max
carriage speed 5m/sec).
