Year 6 Science Links
For Year 6, BUPS/BIS will be studying a general science course covered topics from biology, chemistry and physics.  Here are the subjects you will be studying this year.  This course outline is being developed and may change slightly.  The letters and numbers in the brackets show which units from our textbook we will be following.

1. "Introduction to Science" - a course outlining scientific method, apparatus and techniques.
2. "Forensics" - a cross-curricular course, using different lab techniques to solve a crime (7A,7H)
3. "Reproduction & Variation" (7B,7C,7D)
4. "Electricity & Magnetism" (7J,8J)
5. "Chemicals & Burning" (8E,8F,7I)
6. "Forces & Space" (7K,7L)


You will need the following;
* the TWO textbooks "Framework Science" 7, and 8 (Paddy Gannon) - we will use these over the next two years.
* a ring-binder for handouts.
* a notebook
OR bring paper to put in the ring binder.
* stationary (pen, sharp pencil, pencil sharpener, rubber, coloured pencils, calculator)
