| This will be the first tutorial of BASIC programming. There will be a few different sections in these tutorials. 1. Introduction 2. New commands to know 3. Different programs to make 4. The codes 5. Conclusion 6. Make it 7. Tip of the day. Introduction The first tutorial will be displaying text on the home screen and graph. These are the basic things you need to know to make programs. New commands to know Disp- displays text on the home screen found in pgrm menu. Text- displays a smaller font on the graph screen. It is at row (0-57) and column (0-94) ex. 0,0,"" found in DRAW menu. Output- displays text on the home screen at a specific coordinate. Row (1-8) column (1-16) ex. 1,1,""ffound in prgrm menu. Pause- pauses program until user presses enter ClrHome- clears the home screen Clrdraw- clears the graph screen Programs to make In this chapter we will be displaying text at different points on the screen. The code Disp command ClrHome Disp "hello world" Output( command ClrHome Output(4,4,"hello world") Text command ClrDraw Text( 1,1,"hello world") Pause command Output(1,1,"top" Pause Output(5,1,"middle" Pause Output(8,1,"bottom" Pause Conclusion All these commands display text in different ways experiment with them in your own programs. Try making new programs with these commands and any others you know. Make it Make a program that uses the display command pauses uses the output command pauses then uses the text command. Tip of the day To round to a certain value place press mode go to float and change it to the amount of places after the decimal you want it to round to. Comes in handy when rounding to hundredths or thousandths. |
