| This league will have 16 teams. Each owner will choose 1 NFL team then pick 12 players off of that team, plus 1 rookie drafted by that team ( Rookies are excluded from the 12 players each owner chooses). The players will never leave the team unless dropped or traded. The will act as the core of the team. Each team will have 26 players to start out with once the draft is complete. Once the season starts all teams will very in roster size. The league will have an AFC and an NFC. Both will have two divisions of 4 teams. The AFC winner and NFC winner will play in the superbowl. We will use yahoo for scoring, but we will have our own schedule and our official matchups for the week will be from the leagues schedule which will be up on the site. The Starters will consist of 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1WR/RB, 1K, 5Def. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TRADING - We can trade anything(players, draft picks, salary). All excepted trade offers will be frozen for 48 hours so the owners in the league have a chance to look the trade over. It will take at least 6 votes to veto a trade. If there are not 6 vetos after 48 hours the trade will be executed. If 6 or more vetos then it will be canceled. One thing to remember is to not just look at the players involved in the trade, but what each team needs and how the trade benefits(or doesn't benefit) all involved in trade. There can be more than just 2 teams involved in a trade. Sometimes it may take a 3rd party to work out a deal. Please do not try to pull over a bogus trade. It will not be tolerated. SCORING - Like mentioned above we will use yahoo for scoring. OFFENSE DEFENSE KICKING Pass Yards/ 15yds = 1pt. Interception/ = 5pts. Extra Points = 1pt. Passing TD's/ = 6pts. Sack/ = 4 pts. FG 0-39yds/ = 3pts. Thrown Int./ = -2pts. Tackle/ = 1pt. FG 40-49yds/ = 3.5pts. Reception/ = 1pt. Asst. Tackle/ = .5pts. FG 50 +yds/ = 4 pts. Rec. Yards/ 10yds = 1pt. Blocked Pass/ = 1pt. Missed FG 0-29yds/ = -2pts Rec. TD's/ = 6pts. Caused Fumble/ = 2pts. Missed Extra Point/ = -1pt. Rush Yards/ 10yds = 1pt. Fumble Recovery/ = 2 pts. Rush TD's/ = 6pts. Defensive TD/ = 6pts. Fumble/ = -1pt. Return Yards/ 15 yards = 1pt. Fumble Lost/ = -2pts. Return TD's/ = 6pts. FREE AGENCY - We will bid on all FA's. Bids will all be open bids. Teams can bid as many times as the want on a FA until someone gets that player by getting highest bid. During the season a bid must sit for 48 hours without anyone else bidding to recieve that player. The reason there is no set time is because I've seen to many people in the past wait until the last second to place a bid, which is unfair to rest of league(for example if someone is at work). During the offseason bids must be idle for 72 hours since there is more time to bid and because people will have other things to do. Don't worry. You wont have to be devoted all year around because most people have a life(sorry if that seems like a cutdown to some people, but I'm just trying to explain reason). We will set a date when we can do this which will be after our draft for the next season. Once someone wins a player he cannot cancel his bid. He will have to commit to paying that player. You are allowed to cancel a bid as long as bidding is still going for that player, since most will bid on more than 1 player at a time, but once you withdraw a bid you cannot make another bid for that player if you change your mind. If someone cancels a bid then tha 48/72 hour clock will restart. That way if someone cancels a bid at last second the next in line won't get stuck with him. You are allowed to drop a player that was recieved through bidding, but you will still pay salary.(There is an element to this which is stated below with the revenue section. REVENUE - Every team will start out with $100 for the season. Each owner is resposible for how his/her revenue is spent. Revenue is used for bidding and at the end of the season. At the end of the season we will have to decide which draft picks to keep. Each players salary will depend on their yahoo rank at the end of the season(The scale will be posted later. I want to make sure I do it right). Any player not signed will go into the next seasons draft. We will not have to keep doing this for players already signed. Once we sign a player(same goes with getting a player through bidding) he is that teams to keep. He will not have to be resigned every season. When trading a player his salary means nothing so if someone had no money he would not have to worry about getting a more expensive player and going under $0(which isnt allowed). The money used to sign that player was used to sign him and nothing more. The original players we chose when picking teams will not count in any of this. Like stated before they are the core of the team which we use to build on and will always stay on team unless traded or dropped for salary. We can drop a player anytime to get revenue and the amount depends and rank at the time he was dropped. This also works with player won through bidding. Say you had $80, and spent $12 on a player though bidding, which takes you down to $68.. He could be in a slump or done for the season, so you can drop him for some revenue. For example say he's worth $7 going by the scale. you can drop him and pick up $7 to take you up to $75. You will be out $5, but atl east you can get something for him. It could also work out to where a player is average, but is on a hot streak, and could be worth more than you paid. You could then make out on him. Anyone can be dropped for salary, even the original players kept from the picked team. DRAFT - There will be 2 Drafts. The First will be a 10 round NFL Draft and the second will be a 3 round rookie draft. The draft will be a slow live draft. For the NFL draft the first 5 picks will have a 24 hour time limit. The last 5 will have a 12 hour time limit. All 3 rounds in the rookie draft will have a 24 hour time limit. If someone gets skipped, the next in line will pick(time limit will start as soon as pick before ended). Anyone who is skipped can pick when ready as long as he picks someone not already taken. Pay attention to who has been picked because if you pick someone already taken the next team in line can pick. You can change the pick when ready. The draft will not be snake and the draft order will be determined by what teams are picked. The team that had the worst regular season record the previous season will get to pick first, and the team with the best record will pick last. The first draft will go by The NFL teams records. Starting the second season the draft will be determined by our teams win/loss record in the regular season, but the superbowl champion will always pick last in the rounds. PLAYOFFS - The playoffs will be weeks 15 and 16. The winner of each division will make the playoffs. I'd like to have 6 make playoffs, but I'd either have to shorten then season(playoff during weeks 14,15,16) or have weeks 15,16,17. That may no be fair for some teams since some stars wont play if the last game doesnt mean anything. ***We will be alllowed to talk smack. There are no set rules on what we can say. As long as no one finds something is insulting smack away. If anyone has a problem with foul language then we won't use it. We don't need that to talk smack anyway. It may be best just to slowly go into until we get used to the owners, so we can get an idea on what limits to set.
