Episode 57

Shaoran enters his bedroom sets his backpack down down. His eyes fall on the stuffed bear he made a few days ago. He takes out his sword and begins practicing but his eyes fall on the bear again. He sees Sakura andhears her calling his name. He grabs his head in frustration. He sees Sakura laughing.

Shaoran : Why does she [ pulling hair ] ... Dammit! [ falling face up onto his bed ] What's going on with me? Why do I keep thinking about her.
<flashback to episode 51>
Yue : If you calm down and feel your heart, you will be able to tell your true feelings.
Shaoran : My true feelings... ? What do you mean by ...?
Yue : Think about the rest yourself.
<end flashback>
Shaoran : Think about my true feelings?

At school, Rika tells Sakura about a Teddy Bear exhibit. Rika, Chiharu, and Naoko can not attend but suggests Sakura goes with Tomoyo. Eriole overhears and strikes up a conversation with Sakura. Sakura is impressed with how much Erole knows when Shaoran appears in the classroom doorway, fuming at what he sees! He marches to his desk. Tomoyo who sees all this, laughs as he passes. Sakura invites Eriole and he agrees to go. Shaoran arrives at his seat. Sakura invites him along. As he reads the panthlet Rika has given Sakura, Sakura gets right in his face.

Sakura : A Teddy Bear Exhibit. It'll be fun. Okay?

Shaoran sits back, looking extremely uncomfortable, but agrees to join the trio.

Throughout the day, Li observes Sakura. She cheers him on during gym class. They are both having trouble playing the flute during music. Sakura smiles at him. Shaoran is at the black board finishing a problem. Sakura is next tohim but clueless as to how to finish her problem. Shaoron is sitting on a cement barrier outside when he hears Sakura behind him. She and Tomoyo sit down on a nearby bench. Shaoron hides behing the cement barrier and watches Sakura. Eriole walks up behind Shaoron.

Eriole : Sakura is so cute.
[ Shaoron get ups quickly very flustered. ]
Shaoran : I... I ... don't really... and... so... that... [ runs off ]
Eriole : What an honest person. [ Eriole changes his expression as if struck with a sudden idea. ]

Shaoran is running head down away from Eriole when he plows into... Yukito! Yukito notices something is wrong and suggests that Shaoran might need something to eat. Well, actually, Yukito is hungry. They head into a store. Yukito tells Shaoran Sakura-chan has invited him for dinner. He is always eating at the Kinomot's for free so he has decided to make cookies for them, but he needs cut out utensils. Yukito asks Shaoran to help choose the designs. Shaoron scans the display of cut out designs. He spots a bear shaped design and picks it up. Yukito asks if he has decided. Shaoran shows him the bear.

Yukito : Oh, a teddy bear! Sakura loves bears, doesn't she?
Shaoron : No... I just...
Yukito : I picked these [ holding up large star and moon designs ].
But maybe they are too big
Shaoran : I ... I think it's okay. She would eat anything... She's always happen whenever she eats. Besides...
If it is anything you make, she would love to eat it.
Yukito : You really like Sakura, don't you?
Shaoran : [ flustered ] Wh...Wh ... Why do I... ?

Shaoran runs off. He enters the park and sits down by the King Penguin.

Shaoran : I like her... ?

Shaoran is back in his room. He has two messages on his machine. It's Sakura.

Phone : Message one.
Sakura : Hello, this is Kinomoto. Hm.. you left before we could decide a time for tomorrow., soo Tomoyo, Eriole and I decided...
[ loud backround noise ]

Phone : End of message. Message two.
Sakura : Ouch! I'm sorry. Kero lost his game and then
Kero : You yelled out all of a sudden.
Sakura : What did you say?
             Oh, I'm sorry!
             Tomorrow's meeting time.
             How about 10 am tomorrow in front of the Taisatsu exit at Tomoeda station. If this is not okay with you, let me know.
             Later!

Shaoran hangs up, smiles, then sees the stufed bear again. He picks it up and looks at it. He throws it over his shoulder and flops down on his bed with the phone. He plays the messages over again (just to hear Sakura's voice ^_~ )

Throughout the song, clips of Li, Sakura, Eriole, and Tomoyo at the Teddy Bear Exhibit are shown.Li is watching Sakura, Tomoyo is filming Sakura, and Eriole is just along for the ride.

Sitting at a cafe table, Sakura comments that is the Teddy Bear Exhibit had been earlier, she is sure she would've made a better stuffed bear for Yukito. Eriole asks about Li's bear. Li goes red..

Sakura : Have you give it to somebody? [ Li gets very flustered but recovers enough to say ... ]
Li Shaoran : It's getting dark. We should leave soon.

Li walks off. Sakura yells after him but he keeps going. Eriole watches Li, smiling. Arriving at an elevator, Li pushes the down button. He is releaved to have gotten away. Sakura runs after him.

Li : What's going on with me?
Sakura : You're walking too fast.

Eriole and Tomoyo are walking a little way behind. The elevator opens. Sakura and Li enter. Li is holding the door open for the straglers when the buttons start flashing. Eriole is using magic right behind Tomoyo! The elevator door shuts Sakura and Li inside. Tomoyo presses the buttons but the door remains closed. Eriole tells Tomoyo he will go for help. Inside the elevator, the emergancy phone doesn't work nor does Sakura's cellular phone. Li says that they should just wait. Surely, the other two are going for help.

It is pretty dark inside the elevator and no one seems to be coming to help them. Sakura starts to cry. Li pulls out one of his magic cards and uses it to create a flame. He tells Sakura not to cry because help is coming soon. She is cheered up and decides to sit down. She pulls out a cloth and spreads it on the floor. She asks Li if he would like to sit next to her. He is flustered but he does. Sakura searches through her bag.

Sakura : Got it! Here. [ handing him a dark brown bear shaped cookie ]
Shaoran : This is...
<flashback> Yukito is eating dinner with Touya and Sakura. He thanks them for the dinner and pulls out a large blue bag filled with cookies.

Sakura : So many cookies that the table almost couldn't hold it. But I took my eyes off them for just a second and Kero ate almost all of them. In the end, there was only one cookie left. I'll let you have this.
Shaoran : It's yours. You should have it.
Sakura : Then how about we share it? [ breaks the cookie in half ]
Here! Yukito's cookies taste really good!

There is a stange wind adn the lightgoes out. We see Eriole using his magic.The buttons start flashing again. Sakura stands up thinking that help has arrived. The elevator seems to tilt and she starts stumbling backwards. Suddenly the wall behind her disappears. She is going to walk backwards over the edge and fall into a black abyss. Shaoron goes after her, reaches out for her hand as she begins to fall over the edge... and misses. Sakura falls witha little scream oer the edge into the dark. Shaoron stars in disbelief after her. On the verge of tears, he screams her name.

Shaoron : SAKURA!

He, already on his knees, bows his head in grief. Then, a pink light appears from far below. Sakura comes floating up. Shaoron looks up.

Sakura : I used the FLOAT card.

Shaoron stands up and reaches out to Sakura. He embraces her in a hug.

Shaoran : Thank goodness.

Holding his staff, Eriole smiles.

Just then the elevator doors open. Li blushes and released Sakura. Tomoyo is so happy to see them safe. Eriole appears from around teh corner and surveys the sceen. Shaoron is in his usuall pose against the wall. Eriole is happy as well. Seems like his plan worked to perfection [ Sweeet! Arigato, Eriole-kun! ]

Back in Shaoran's room, the phone rings.

Sakura : Hello? Li-kun?
Li : Y... Yeah.
Sakura : Thanks so much for today
Li : I didn't do anything
Sakura : You know, when I heard you call my name, Sakura, in the elevator, I was really happy. Somehow it feels like we have become really good friends. Is it okay if I also call you Shaoran?
Li : If you want...
Sakura : Okay! Shaoron-kun! Anyway, I'll see you at school tomorrow.

They hang up. Shaoron walks to his window, opens it and takes a deep breath. He looks totally content. ^_^
