Guide to Copenhagen Striptease and Sex Clubs

All price estimates are in Danish crowns (DKK).
The classic street for clubs, shops, video cabins, street girls etc is Istedgade, the first 3-5 blocks from the Central Station. Not as much as it used to be, though...
Traditional streets for picking up prostitutes used to be the first blocks of Istedgade plus Skelbaeksgade, Halmtorvet. Not as much as it used to be there either - not sure if there are any out on Skelbaeksgade, Halmtorvet anymore.
Don't mix up things - not all clubs offer full service just because it's a "continental" town.
Look for advertisements under "Massage", "Escort" or similar in the evening paper "Ekstrabladet".
Be a bit careful in the central town area around the street Istedgade and its surroundings. Lots of drug addicts etc.

I'm afraid this guide might be getting a bit out-of-date, even if I try to update everytime I've been to Copenhagen, and it feels like if it's soon turning into some kind of historical guide, to be honest. Primarily, check out advertisements on the Internet, or the paper EkstraBladet, or other guides.

Nørregade, old central town.

Kongens Nytorv 19. Open from 9 PM. Probably a bit same concept as the above listed club.

Not sure if the former Non Stop club has be turned more into a "meeting place" club.
(Non Stop was a legendary topless bar. The bar was open from noon to 2 AM, but the video cabins were open 24 hours all the year around. They had four cinemas, connected through a very dark corridore with quite a dirty floor. The cabins (including those where you could bring in a street girl) and the cinemas weren't exactly clean either. Sometimes, you could meet all sorts of people there in the dark.) After Non Stop, the next name was Club 18.

Helgolandsgade, close to the Central Station. The old club Xanadu used to have the same concept and reputation as Kakadu, maybe just a bit cheaper. The entrance texts say they have strip shows, bar etc. Not sure if it's still a "meeting place" too.

Eskildsgade 20. (Curiousum: Many years ago, Eskildsgade used to be the street having the highest amount of brothels in this part of town. Actually, the name was changed to Eskildsgade from its original name, to wipe out the reputation.)

Istedgade 34. Thai girls only. A top-less bar with light beer and soft drinks. Three cinemas on ground floor, one on the bar floor. Cabins for video, or for private dance, or a bit more advanced activities with one of the girls.

Ved Stranden (a street just beside a canal close to the Christiansborg castle)

Istedgade 28. Thai(?) girls. Strip shows, private shows of various kinds. Not sure if they have massage also. Maybe the place has two separate entrances, depending on what you're after, haven't checked this out. Ask at the reception. (Curiousum: Formerly known as Madame Pim. The place is famous since the professional boxer Mike Tyson's visit some years ago.)

Trommesal (short street close to Central Station). Same concept as Wonder Bar above.

Istedgade 38. Strip shows, private shows, champagne bar etc.

Colbjornsensgade, close to the Central Station. An exclusive and classic meeting place for having a drink or two with a nice, experienced lady - before you maybe decide to go somewhere else (like to a hotel) for some nice, sophisticated activities. Opens at 9 PM, but sometimes most beauties arrive between 10 and midnight.

Viktoriagade, just around the corner from the big street Vesterbrogade. A few minutes walk from the Central Station. Same entrance (?) as a hotel on the corner of the house. Not sure whether this is a strip club, or a meeting place like those described above, or both, or nothing anymore. Just ask at the reception desk. (Curiosum: The place also used to include one of the town's oldest meeting place bars with sophisticated ladies until summer 2004, when it was turned into the Vela Gay Bar. Not sure if Vela's still there (2018))

Colbjornsensgade, and at Nyhavn. Strip shows of various sorts. Not sure if it's a meeting place / massage also.

Eskildsgade, close to the square Vesterbros Torv. Same concept as Red Light and Pussy Club, but usually has more than one girl to choose between. There is a red light bulb above the door, might be hard to find otherwise.
Nov 2009 note: Seems to be closed.

Abel Cathrinas gade (between Istedgade and the Halmtorvet square). One girl working at a time only. Full service, massage etc. Not very expensive.

There are Thai massage clubs in many places, as you'll see from the evening paper advertisements. In the western part of town, you can find many of these places directly, they usually have a red light in a basement window. Find and check out these streets for example: Oehlenslagergade (3-4 places, most close to Sonder Boulevard), (Sommerstedgade 26 closed?), Flensburggade, Dannebrogsgade (not sure if this one is still there), Dybbolsgade (close to Oehlenschlaegergade), Valdemarsgade (close to Istedgade), Ingerslevsgade 110 (somewhere close to Godsbanegade), Reverdilsgade??

Gammel Kongevej 7. Five minutes walk from the Central Station; close to the lake. Open from 9 PM and 3 PM, respectively. Strip shows, champagne bar etc.

Studiestraede 69 (on the outskirts of the Old City). Open from 9 PM. Strip shows, lap dances etc. Usually not much activity before 10 PM.

Kingosgade (Body Bio, not sure if it's gone),Abel Cathrinas gade
