| The Club of the Caucasian Ovtcharka and Central Asian Ovtcharka of the Belgrade Cinological Association decided to enlarge. The fans of the Black Russian Terrier Breed decided to join our club. At the foundation assembly, held on September 18, 2004, the members made the decision to change the name of the club from the "Caucasian and Central-Asian Ovtcharka Club into "The Club of the Russian Breeds", thus uniting owners and fans of the breeds Caucasian Ovtcharka, Central Asian Ovtcharka, Black Russian Terrier, etc. The club is also open for co-operation of very rare breeds in Serbia and Montenegro, such as South Russian Ovtcharka, Moscow Watchdog, etc. The first planned activity of the Club was the Demonstration of the Black Russian Terrier Breed, which was a great success during the CACIB Belgrade show of November 28, 2004. On March 12, 2005 one day before the CACIB Belgrade, the club will organize the III specialty dog show for the breeds Caucasian Ovtcharka, Central Asian Ovtcharka and Black Russian Terrier. In order to respect the tradition, the Club engaged experts from the home-countries of the breeds - Ms. Elena Michko from Russia, Moscow. Ms. Michko is a famous breeder of Central Asian ovtcharkas, author of the majority of the books published in the Russia about the breed, biologist. She spent many years on researching Central Asia. She is the president of the Commission at the Russian Cinological Federation, member of the Presidential Committee of the National Breed Club for Central Asian Ovtcharka, FCI expert for the II FCI group, a part of the III FCI group and for all Russian national dog breeds. In order to satisfy the great interest, we also engaged the other expert, Ms. Olga Goncharuk of Kiev, Ukraine. The name of Ms. Goncharuk is well known among the owners of Caucasian Ovtcharka, Central Asian Ovtcharka and Black Russian Terrier in Ukraine and wider. She is one of the firs breeders of Central Asian Ovtcharkas and dogs from her kennel have been considered as the top dogs, achieving the titles of World and European Champions. The Specialty Show of Caucasian Ovtcharka, Central Asian Ovtcharka and Black Russian Terriers will be held at the Sports Center "Surcin", in the vicinity of the Belgrade International Airport, on March 12, 2005 at 9.00 AM. There will be titles in every class, titles of the Young and Adult Club Champions and the selection of the BIS Baby, BIS Puppy, BIS Junior, BIS Veteran, BIS Couple and BIS Breeding Group. The International Clubs of Caucasian Ovtcharka and Central Asian Ovtcharka will award the attractive titles "Candidate for the International Club Champion". We hope that the International Black Russian Terrier Club will be able to do the same, since the application of our Club to the International Black Russian Terrier Club has been submitted and should be approved any day. The Cinological Association of Serbia and Montenegro will award the title "Champion of Serbia and Montenegro" to every dog who achieves to gain two CAC titles. One should be gained at the Speciality Show and another one on the CACIB Belgrade on March 13, 2004. The general sponsor of the Speciality Show is "Happy Dog". Welcome! |
