ON ARRIVAL

1) Promptly charge into uniform (dobok) and remove all accessions e.g. rings, necklaces, watches, bracelets, earrings and anything else considered dangerous. Chewing gums, smoking, gambling and eating is prohibited.

2) Remove your footwear prior to entry into the training area at all time.

ENTERING THE DO JANG

1)Student should enter the Do Jang at least 10 minutes before the commencement of the class and be prepared both physically and mentally. Show courtesy by allowing the senior students or adults to enter first.

2) Bow on entering the Do Jang to either the national/association/club affiliation flag if displayed or to the Do Jang as a sign of respect. This also symbolizes the student's attitude upon entering of total acceptance and willingness to learn.

3) When entering the Do Jang bow with devotion to the chief Instructor first, then the assistant Instructors, and finally the senior members regardless of age. At the same time, younger students should respect their elders for their age and social status.

INSIDE THE DO JANG

1) In the Do Jang one must maintain absolute silence at all times and attempt to build a solemn training environment. One must fully concentrate on Taekwon-Do only. Do not bring your outside matters or worries into the Do Jang.

2) All members must treat each other with respect according to seniority.

3) All instructions issued by the instructors or senior members within the Do Jang must be obeyed.

4) Before approaching an instructor or senior, students must adjust their Dobok and stand at attention until the senior acknowledges their presence. Bow with devotion first to the chief instructor as a sign of respect for his knowledge and to show total acceptance of any instructor, he may give. At the same time, all the younger students must respect their elders for their age and social status. Then warn up individually.

5) Most important is the attitude of the students. A willingness to learn in all humility is most essential and one must be helpful, humble and courteous at all times. Be appreciative of any assistance given to you.

6) Once lessons have commenced, students must not leave the Do Jang without first seeking permission from the chief instructor.

7) Students must ensure theirs Do Jang is neat and tidy at all times. Initiate others to assist by setting an example.

8) Students should ensure that visitors are well attended to all the times. Give advice when necessary.

9) Students shall address one another courteously and use title, e.g. Sir, Madam, Mr, Mrs, and Miss etc…. Instructors should be addressed as Sir, Madam, Mrs, and Miss.
