WEST MALAYSIA

Malaysia in the heart of South East Asia, just north of the Equator. It is one of the world's largest producers of rubber, tin, palm oil, pepper and petroleum. This multi-racial land is divided into two regions, West and East Malaysia. West Malaysia is also known as Peninsular Malaysia, this part of the country has a population comprising mainly of Malay, Chinese and Indians. The eleven states here have their own different attractions, ranging from beaches and hill resorts to rice planting and batik-making.

EAST MALAYSIA

There is a vast indigenous and immigrant population here. Sarawak, called the "Land of the Hornbills", lies on the northwestern coast of the world's third largest island, Borneo. It has numerous rivers and grows lots of pepper. Sabah takes up the northern part of the Borneo. It is known for its awesome Mt. Kinabalu at which, at 4,101m is the highest mountain in South East Asia.
