| About the Teacher | ||||||||||
| Katherine Long Parker is a 1990 cum laude graduate of Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Grades Education. Her first concentration is Math and her second concentration is Social Studies. She completed the University Honors Program upon graduation. Mrs. Parker was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honor society for freshmen, while at WCU. She began her teaching career at Franklin High School teaching General Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra. She taught Seventh Grade at Macon Middle School for nine years.. This is her sixth year teaching Eighth Grade at Macon Middle School. Mrs. Parker has been listed in the Who's Who Among America's Teachers, with this year being her third year to be honored. Mrs. Parker received her National Board Certification in November 2003. She is a member of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, and Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society. |
