| Much of the art at Mission San Xavier del Bac was cleaned and restored for the church's 200th anniversary in 1997. The orignial work was created by both local people and artisans from Mexico and is considered one of the finest examples of Mexican baroque art. Mission San Xavier del Bac is sometimes called the White Dove of the Desert. |
