Baring witness to these events
therefore I
Will relate in story one that hates
the light
It begins with rumors in a New
England town
About the occurrences when the
sun goes down
They remember the old man's prophecy
Of the horror they would one
day see
The Whateley's child a youth gone
wild
The goatlike grin upon his face
Oblivious to them this child of
sin
And the evil he'd set loose upon
the place
Once in possession of the dark
book as he hoped to be
But the most urgent advanced warnings
were issued to me
Remember the old man's prophecy
Of the horror we would one day
see
The beast of shadow's fame calling
its dark father's name
In attempt to steal his prize
Yog-Sothoth's child was doomed
to die
The thing that was loosed in his
wake
Spread its stench and made the
valley shake
After laying waste to the cursed
town
Eating the Fryes and most of the
cows
It was later sighted on Sentinel
Hill
Dr Armitage moved in for the kill
Then the man recited the ancient
spell
That sent the quivering mass back
to hell
Not before all of us heard
The unearthly fiend utter human
words
Remember the old man's prophecy
Of the horror we now have seen
The beast of shadow's fame calling
its dark father's name
Upon Sentinel Hill by the pillars
of stone
Dating back to a time of things
unknown
Baring witness to these events therefore
I
Have related in story one that
hates the light
It began with rumors in a New England
town
About the occurrences when the
sun goes down
Remember the old man's prophecy
of the horror you may see
The beast of shadow's fame calling
its dark father's name
That is not dead which may eternal
lie
And with strange aeons even
death may die
