This year the Ottawa Hills Indian's, team 518, placed 30th in the USFirst Robotics competition. Christopher Lammer skilled driving produced great results but because of the lack of help by other teams we were not able to produce a very high ranking. Throughout most of the competition we were able to hold 22nd place. The O'Mega, as it was called, was a well-built robot and we produced many excellent plays that stopped other teams from gaining a high ranking in the competition.

Tech Prep Program Mission Statement

With the world changing so fast, it is imperative that our classrooms learn to change with it. Students need to be prepared to work effectively in a rapidly changing, world-class society. Tech Prep at Ottawa Hills High School is made up of a variety of different cultures of students who work toward a common goal:

To Prepare for the Future

Tech Prep students are provided with opportunities to learn transitional skills that will help them succeed in the "real world." The solar car projects is a vivid demonstration of these powerful skills students learn in Tech Prep--Effective Communication, Self-directed Learning, Using Technology, Producing Quality, and Team building.

Tech Prep motivates students to stay in school and prepares them to be employable, productive, and confident citizens in a highly competitive world-class society
