Klonoa falls into a stormy sea, splashing in and out of the water.
???: There he is!
???: Yes, without a doubt! He's the one!
???: Okay, okay... leave it to me! He's ours!
???: Wait...
Voices shouting from the shore.
???: Oh pooh! Who are they?
???: A priestess? Hmm... no...
???: They're in the way! Should I get rid of them?!
???: No, we cannot risk dropping the ring. Very well. We shall just wait and see.
They fly away, and the mysterious duo on shore rescue Klonoa.
Klonoa: Oomph.........
Lolo: Umm, are you all right?
Klonoa: Uhhh... yeah... at least... I think so...
Lolo: Thank goodness. I'm Lolo. I'm a priestess... well... a priestess in training. And this is Popka.
Popka: Yo!
Klonoa: You're the ones who saved me, huh? Thanks. I'm Klonoa.
Lolo: Klonoa... So Klonoa... is the name of the Dream Traveler.
Klonoa: Huh? Hold on there! I'm just--
A monster jumps from the water.
Popka: Watch out!!! Just great, monsters here too?!
Lolo: M, maybe we should wait until later to talk. Please Klonoa, won't you help us?
Klonoa: Huh...? Who me...?
Popka: Lolo!!
Lolo transforms and vanishes within Klonoa's ring. Klonoa looks confused.
Popka: Let's get this show on the road!
Klonoa: Huh? What? What the...?
Popka: Aww, will ya move it? All ya gotta do is get to that island!
Klonoa: What island? Where am I, anyway?
Popka: C'mon! Here we go!

~The Encounter~
Klonoa travels to a point, a high ledge is before him.
Popka: Hold it right there!
Klonoa: Whoa! What's the matter?
Popka: That ledge is pretty high. Can ya make it?
Klonoa: Huh? Uh, I dunno.
Popka: Lotsa help you are! Awwwwright, tell ya what... Nab that Moo over there and jump, then jump again while you're in mid-air. That oughta get ya high enough.
Klonoa: You mean... do a double jump? O,oh, I knew about those!
Popka: That so? Well, show me whatcha got, hotshot!
They reach a bell.
Klonoa: So... this is it?
Popka: Yep! C'mon Klonoa, use the power of your Ring on the Bell.
Klonoa: This bell? Oh, okay.
Klonoa shoots the bell. It rings.
Lolo: Oh, I did it! I rang the Bell!
Lolo reappears.
Klonoa: Wow! Wh-what's with the bell?
Popka: That's the Spirit Bell for priestesses. Only those with enough spiritual power can make it ring. So if ya make it ring, you're a full priestess.
Lolo: I did it! I did it, Popka!
She slips and falls.
Lolo: Tee hee!
Popka: All right! Off to Baguji's then!
Klonoa: Baguji? Who's that?
Popka: The best prophet in Lunatea, that's who!
Klonoa: Lunatea... Hmm... Lunatea... huh.

Baguji: So, this is the Dream Traveler, eh?
Lolo: Yes, Master Baguji. He appeared in the Sea of Tears, just as you foretold.
Baguji: Hmm...
Popka: Baguji's the one who said you'd appear. Pretty cool, huh?
Baguji: Your name is Klonoa is it. Look over yonder... See that large tower? You will find housed within it, a Harmony Bell. You will find a similar tower and bell in each of Lunatea's Four Kingdoms.
Lolo: They say the Bells are responsible for maintaining peace throughout the entire world.
Baguji: However, I see another... a bell of darkness that belongs to none of the Kingdoms. A fifth Bell is about to appear upon out world... This Bell, it must be the cause of the Chaos befalling the Kingdoms. Oddly enough, many people don't seem to notice. Monsters run amok, and priestesses fall ill when they are tainted by the evil.
Klonoa: Huh? What about Lolo?
Lolo: Well I... I'm only an apprentice...
Baguji: Klonoa, Dream Traveler, will you help Lolo?
