Towns (Stations)
Activity: Yukon Charlie Pass Survival
Each Patrol or Den will use materials they can find and build a shelter that 2 of the patrol members can fit inside. Time: 30 minutes. Items needed: Pocket knife and TotenChip. Station will provide twine.
Activity: First Aid
A designated Scout will be handed a card listing an injury along the trail by a staff member. The Patrol or Den will then treat that Scout with proper First Aid and transport the Scout to the Hospital at the town of Sageluk. Time: 30 minutes Items needed: Scout staves, kneckerchiefs and Sled or Stretcher.
Activity: Hot Water Boil
The patrol will build a tripod start a fire and boil a small pan of water. Station Time: 30 minutes. Items needed: matches, tender to start fire, quart of water, small pan with bail. Kindling wood provided at station. Double pay off if fire is started without matches. (NO LIGHTERS)
Activity: Polar Bear Hunt
Using the catapult provided at the station, the Den or Patrol shoot snowballs, (or balls provided at) the station to hit a target to earn gold nuggets.
Time: 30 minutes
Activity: Ice Cicle Web
Each member of the Patrol or Den will wind their way through the web maze. Time: 30 minutes. Gold nuggets will be awared for those who make it through.
Activity: Snow Blind Rescue
Each member of the Patrol or Den will be snow blind (blind folded) except for one Scout who needs to be rescued. The scout will signal his patrol so he can be rescued. Time: 30 minutes Items needed. Kneckerchief for each Scout.
