Del Prado Dreamhouse
This house comes in installments, every other week I get two packages with bits of the house, some furniture and parts of translated dollhouse books.
DP provides paper for the outside as well as the inside, but I am not going to use it. Instead, I use Magic brick and I will paint the rest of the house.
I didn't like the pre-printed wainscoting and wallpaper, so I replaced it with something nicer. Instead of the printed 'archway' I have real French doors.
This is the ground floor. I hid the printed kitchen door behind some photocopied kitchen wallpaper.
Then I repeated the process for the second floor.
There's a lot of furniture with this project. I think I have all the major pieces except the big bedroom closet (I think there is supposed to be one...) and the desk chair for the upstairs study.

I found out at an early stage that I was going to have the choice of either putting in the dolls, or putting in all the furniture. There's simply too much furniture. So I'm re-arranging it, and will probably leave some pieces out and add some others.
I've already decorated one oval-backed chair with some picot braid, and it is just perfect for the living room. That means that the bench and three chairs that are supposed to be there will have to go...  At least that gives me the option of dressing the dolls in prettier dresses and displaying them in the house. Even if it means half the family will have to eat standing up...

I used new wallpaper for the bedroom, as the sides and back didn't match - one was dark ivory, the other more like off-white. I did keep the bathroom tiles, as I really like them. It took a lot of cutting and pasting to hide the printed door and make sure the divider was at the same height on all three walls... I basically photocopied the back to give me paper for the two side walls...
After parts 68 and 69 I now have the basic structure and a lot more furniture than I can actually use...
