โรงไฟฟ้าพลังน้ำห้วยคลิตี้ เป็นโครงการของกรมพัฒนาและส่งเสริมพลังงาน กระทรวงวิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยีและสิ่งแวดล้อม จุดประสงค์เพื่อใช้พลังน้ำในการผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้า กำลังการผลิต 4,370 กิโลวัตต์ โดยไฟฟ้าจะให้ 4 หมู่บ้าน ซึ่งทุกหมู่บ้านไม่ได้ต้องการ เพราะสองหมู่บ้านมีกระแสไฟฟ้าจากการไฟฟ้าส่วนภูมิภาค และอีกสองหมู่บ้านมีไฟฟ้าพลังแสงอาทิตย์ ขณะที่ชาวบ้านกะเหรี่ยงและนักอนุรักษ์เห็นว่าเขื่อนจะทำลายผืนป่าตะวันตก
The Klity hydropower electricity project is initiated by the Department of Energy Development and Promotion, Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment. It aims to produce 4,300 kilowatts of electricity to serve four villagers. All of them do not need new sources of electricity. Two of them use solar cell energy. The other two will soon get their electricity from the national power agency. The Karen villagers and environments fear that the dam will cause severe damages on the lush forests.
