| Once in a lifetime someone comes along to share your dreams and plans with, and make your heart a home. Someone who'll stand beside you through laughter and through tears, Who always makes you feel better just by saying, "don't worry, I'm here." Not everyone is so lucky to find such a lover and friend like what I've found in you dear, for you my love has no end. There's nothing that can come between us not after all we've endured. All our struggles have just brought us closer, and closer we'll grow yet I'm sure. I know that God gave you to me, after all these years I confess; and our loved ones are here to give witness just to show how much we've been blessed. With love ever guiding our footsteps we've walked every step of the way. And each night as I'm lying beside you, I thankGod for you when I pray. Our days haven't always brought sunshine, but we knew we could make it somehow; As long as we faced life together with each of our hands on the plow. I love you today more than ever, and if I could live life again... I'd want you right here beside me, right where you've always been. And it's now as our steps grow slower and our hair has turned to gray, that I know only Once in a Lifetime would someone like you come my way. |
