One of my personal favorites, this came about after a break up with one of my ex-girlfriends.
One the favorites of RYW.com, this song is extremely long, almost "epic". Very depressing song about a guy standing in the mirror, watching himself slip away before he takes the plunge off a chair to hang himself. As he does so, however, he realizes at the last second that he doesn't want to die, but it's too late. Very anti-suicidal message.
Inspired by a commercial I saw about depressed teenage girls who slashed themselves to ease their depression.
Based on a real life tragedy of a father shaking his baby to death, when I first penned this, I heard the song "My Only Sunshine" playing in my head. It's the same song my little sister played on her wind-up doll. Still gives me chills. This was another fav of RYW.com.
Very long song that didn't really have a tune to it when I wrote it. Basically, it was just me bringing images in my head to life without really thinking about the music. One of my favorites because it's really sweet and one of my few "happy ending" love songs.
Great imagery combined with a story driven by Post-War syndrome, I thought this was one of my better pieces. I still love the line "Imprinting my vision with technicolor wishes".
A song about the recovery from a bad break up.
My attempt to glance into the mind of a terrorist. Some complained that I made them seem too human. In actuality, they are, and I'm sure many question their leaders decisions, but have been brought up to not argue. Perhaps, not all terrorists do what they do without questions. This particular terrorist is fighting for freedom in his own country. Is this good or bad? How are we to decide? I'll let you be the judge.
For anyone who's ever fought off anxieties, I'm sure you understand this song. It's hard sometimes, but you have to control them, no the other way around.
A newer song that shows how I feel sometimes.
A song about a certain someone, writing this let me get some release. It also turned into one of my favorite pieces because it's pure emotion.
Another new "instant favorite" of mine. This song started out to be about friendship, but then quickly became a bit more than that. A nice message about love and always being there for someone when they need you.
In my opinion, one of the best heartbreak songs I've ever written.
