| The Bard Family Genealogy Web Site The BARD, BEARD, BAIRD Genealogy Web Page is open to all interested parties who seek to share information about the Bard family including all of its spelling variations. We have a genealogy query page to post brief genealogies and questions about ancestors & genealogy connections. Although we are open to all Bard variations, we are especially interested in one Archibald BEARD (BARD) b. Ireland d. Feb.1765 PA. Born "the son of David, who was the son of William." Archibald BEARD came to the USA about 1740, and after a brief stay in Maryland, settled in Adams County and later Franklin County in Pennsylvania. He had three sons: Richard BARD, William BARD, and Rev. David BARD. Because his sons changed their name from BEARD to BARD, we have very little info about our ancestry earlier than Archibald. If you show any Archibald in your BEARD family genealogy, please contact me via e-mail. All Bards and others who are connected (by birth or marriage) to one of these three sons who lived on an area of Carroll's Tract called "Carroll's Delight," are considered to be related to - the Bards of "Carroll's Delight." Anyone having information about any person shown to be connected to these Bards, please contact me via e-mail: We have now entered into the exciting area of DNA genealogy.
