Summative Evaluation Report: Development Plan
Reflecting on my performance over the past semester, I know I have grown tremendously. I have become more confident in my capabilities. I have also practiceed my own version of "the look," and learned how to conduct classroom management, something which I had no confidence in prior to thiss experience. Through necessity, I have become better with multi-tasking, and more able to roll with whatever changes come along. Teaching must be where I am meant to be; the only part of the whole experience I am regretful of is departure.
With that said though, there are of
course certain segments that need
improvement. As always, my English is not impeccable, my handwriting barely legible, and my spelling is
something that keeps my students
amused. I have not perfected the ability to involve all students at all times. I still need to improve cooperative
learning; I must include more
individual accountability. I wish that I had had the opportunity to utilize
technology more often in the classroom. Finally though, the part I most regret about my High School experience is
that I felt disconnected from other
members of the faculty. I do not know if this is a high school thing, or just
due to my experience with my cooperating
teacher. When I actually have a job, I wish to be more connected to my colleagues than I was at this
placement.
