Spring Conference and Awards Ceremony
FAMILY: A Celebration of the Heart

This free conference was open to everyone! All PTA leaders and their families, new officers, school staff, and friends of PTA. This conference was intended as an end-of-year celebration to honor the hard work of our volunteers, but also to involve and show appreciation for family, friends, and school administration.

Registration began at 6:00 p.m. Guests came early to visit with our speakers and enjoyed a wonderful buffet of appetizers and variety of desserts, courtesy of Sutton's Catering Service of Riverdale, Georgia.
We had a lot of great things on the agenda:
Election of 2005-2007 4th district officers - Kenn German was elected new district director

Inspiration, sung by Miss Merideth Slaker

Tommy Johns, magician and educator from Atlanta performed

Keynote Speaker,
Ms. Charlotte Russell Johnson
A
uthor of Daddy's Hugs spoke on the important role fathers have in their children's lives

Laughing Matters, Atlanta's leading improvisation troupe really livened things up

Awards for outstanding achievements in  membership, event attendance, and tribes given:

1st Place Tribe: YELLOW TRIBE

Strength-in-Numbers Award (highest points achieved)
Elementary: 1st - Wesley Heights, 2nd - St. Mary's, 3rd - New Mountain Hill
Middle School: 1st - Blackmon Rd, 2nd - DCMS, 3rd - Midland MS/HC-Carver MS
High School: 1st - Columbus High, 2nd - Northside/Hardaway, 3rd - Harris County High

Highest Membership Increase
Elementary: 1st - Edgewood, 2nd Chattaoochee County, 3rd - Dimon Magnet Academy
Middle School: 1st - Midland MS, 2nd - DCMS, 3rd - Harris County-Carver
High School: 1st - Northside, 2nd - Harris County High, 3rd - Columbus/Hardaway
