Many of our schools have participated in the "Read to Achieve" program sponsored by the Columbus Riverdragons. It is an effort to instill a life long love of reading in students, and encourages families and adults to read regularly with young children. Over the course of their first three seasons, Riverdragons coaches, players, dancers, and staff have made over 500 public appearances and distributed over 4,000 books.
Because of our similar goals, PTA collaborated with the Rivedragons for a night of family fun at a discounted rate on January 22. If you were unable to make it, there is still time to enjoy the fun that our home town basketball team brings...As a continued benefit to all PTA members, Riverdragon tickets ($14.00 seats) can be purchased at half price for all 2005 home games - simply present your PTA card at the civic center ticket window to receive your discount.
