| NEW OFFICER ORIENTATION MAY 17, 2004 |

| Because we want our new folks trained and for them to know they have our support, all newly elected officers were encouraged to attend a new officer orientation that covered the basics and helped explain their new responsibilities. Each unit received a guide provided by Georgia PTA to get them started early on planning for a successful year. All officers who attended earned "attendance points" for their PTA that will go toward recognition at the Spring District Conference, March 24, 2005. The orientation also allowed new officers to meet the new Muscogee County Council President, Caponier Whitaker, Council 2nd Vice President, Susan Wood and District Director, Kim Lewis. |
