| Things you should know before heading out for a tree... |
| After many years of seeing families enjoy the adventure of finding that special tree, we have some clues that will help you enjoy your visit!.
What kind of trees does Klein's have??? - Blue Spruce (Stiffer needles) Vary from 5 foot to 7 foot - SPRUCES OVER 7 FOOT CANNOT BE BALED! - Douglas Fir (Softer Needles) 5 foot - 8 foot _________________________________________________________________________ 1. Our Tree Farm is a natural environment! Watch out for Stumps, Holes, Mud, and other sorts of natural hazards 2. Dress Appropriately. We are open Rain Shine Snow Sleet Cold Warm! We have occasionally seen those folks unfortunate enough to arrive clean and leave messy. 3. Saws: We have handsaws for you to use for free, we kindly ask that the use of handsaws be limited to those 18 and older. NO CHAINSAWS! This is non-negotiable! The only chainsaws allowed on our farm are ours. There are no professional tree farms that allow customers to bring their own chainsaws. 4. Bring Cash We accept only cash. Because of our outdoor location and the fact that we only retail a few days out of the year, accepting charge cards or debit cards is cost-prohibitive. To see current prices, refer to our products page 5. Dont come too late Remember the sun begins to set shortly after 4:00 pm, make sure you have enough time to find the perfect tree! 6. Come Friday, Saturday or Sunday. We are a family owned and operated business, we each have regular full time employment, so we are only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. 7. Tree Wrapping We will bale your tree at no cost. The baler wraps your tree tightly so you can maneuver it into your home. We recommend leaving the twine on until the tree is in the stand. Blue Spruce Fans Please keep in mind, large Spruce trees (7 foot or higher) may not be small enough to fit into the baler. Fir trees are usually no problem, however Spruce trees are much stiffer and prone to breakage. 8. Need Help? We have helpers roaming about the farm to assist when needed. Please keep in mind that these helpers are provided as a benefit to those who truly need help. When you can do it, cutting your own tree can really enhance the experience especially for the kids! (even the kids over 18) 9. Get ready to hike! Our farm is spread out. You may find it necessary to spend some time walking to find that perfect tree. Likewise we have opened 2 new fields, the downside is that those fields are not right next to the checkout. However we do have a tractor and wagon that makes regular rounds to help haul your catch back to the checkout! |
