MERMAID AND MOONLIGHT
I began the original sketch of this one (see below) over my lunch hour. I had in mind a mermaid but I wanted her to be a little different. EVERYONE draws mermaids swimming in the ocean, or sitting on the rocks, I wanted mine to be doing something else, like frolicking in the ocean as one sees dolphins sometimes do. So the above picture was the result.
At first I was going to do a daylight scene but changed my mind and did an evening one. Although I like this piece I'm not happy with how the water came out. I haven't gotten the knack yet of doing "splashes" in Photoshop. |
