Conditions And Diseases
^  Xerostomia  (Dry mouth) is a very common problem and is a side-effect of over 400 medications such as:
*  Anti-depressants
*  Antihistamines
*  Anti-hypertensives
*  Anti-psychotics
*  Anti-parkinsonism medications
*  Anti-inflammatory agents
It is uncomfortable and can interfere with the ability to speak, taste, chew and swallow.  Tooth decay and gum disease are aggravated.

*  Diabetics are at greater risk for oral infections and gum disease.  Healing from disease treatment can be
impaired.

*  Bacterial biofilms/plaques grow out of control due to night or day mouth beating and the inability to
remove them completely and routinely.

*  Cavities are especially common.  These are often the result of high carbohydrate meals and snacks,
dry mouth and inadequate oral hygiene.
