Founded in the early 1910s by friends and partners John Bruno Kohler and Otto Liebich, the Kohler-Liebich Co. started in their basement but soon moved into progressively larger storefronts located in the 3500 block of Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, Illinois U.S.A. Here, the instruments were produced for 20 years until the rationing of production materials due to World War II forced them to close in 1941.
