Animating a Heliplane


  1. CREATING THE OVERHEAD BLADES
    1. Select in 'Left View Port' (with Ctrl key depressed) using 'name select': Gear, LeftProp, RightProp, PropHub, and Cam.
    2. Click the edit menu, select clone and copy as PropAssembly.
    3. Again 'name select' Gear, LeftProp, RightProp, PropHub,and Cam; click the tools menu; select 'Display Floater' and hide selected.
    4. Unlink all the members of the PropAssembly (LeftProp01, RightProp01, PropHub01,and Cam01); by clicking the motion motion button for each, activating the 'Assian Controller' and then clicking the activated arrow green assign arrow and okaying the selection for 'Position/Rotation/Scale'.
      NOTE:
      You must restore all 4 links when PropAssembly is in the correct position, below.
    5. Select the entire PropAssembly (with Ctrl key depressed) in 'Left View Port'; activate the move button motionxy with constricted XY axes and move PropAssembly up a suitable distance to the left.
    6. With PropAssemb actively selected and with rotation and Z axes activated rotate rotate PropAssembly counterclockwise about PropHub01, beyond the touch of the original propellers.
    7. PropAssembly Select Gear01, Cam01 and activate align menu and click the bottom edge of the PropHub.
    8. Select Cam01 and activate align menu again and click the bottom surface edge of gear01, both steps may need to be redone a few times, right.
