| TO be or NOT to be - That is the question. When I first started becoming interested in the Anaotolian Shepherd Dog, I read what I could re the breed... I was told that the dogs with black faces were known as Karabash........and that the White Anatolian was known as the Akbas, meaning White face.. I was told this by a number of Anatolian Breeders, and it at the time made sense to me..... Since those days of my naivety, I read with HORROR that my beloved dogs are now known by these same people as Cross Bred Mongrels........ Yes their dogs carry the same genes and the same Pedigree. NO ONE has ever been able to answer my questions as to why some dogs from a litter are PURE while the offspring of that same litter are now MONGRELS I know that these 'Mongrel' puppies are being culled by those who say they care. I know, because it was suggested to me I don't care what people want to call my dogs. I love them dearly. Please while you are hear take time to read the debate.... Then make up your own mind about this issue |
