Bygdbok Fra Gyland, p356, indicates tyhat Lauritz is recorded as owneramd farming 1 hud in Nedland and in the census of 1664, he is listedas Lauritz Anderson there is an estate settlement after SidselAndersdotter who was married to Siver Åsulson. In an estate settlementafter Ragnild Andersdatter, who was married to Oluf Berjeson Fosdal,it is said that "her brother, a very intelligent man, Lauritz AndersonNedland, was among those present. Lauritz was also with as a juror in a lawsuit on Tesak in 1657.

Anders Nedland was surely a renter in the first years. One finds hisname recorded. He is listed between a renter and a tneant farmer in1613. The same year he had to pay 1 Rdr. in fine because he didn'tmeet with "Captain Willumson, who on behalf of 'Kongl. Mayst.s' '?received money from the folks here in Lehnet". The Anders name appearsagain in the tax rolls in 1620-30.

From p. 269 of Bygdebok for Gyland, description of the Gyland farm:". The first forefather we recognize is Alv. From the letter of 1624,we learn that he had 5 children: Sven, Ola, Magla, Karen and Magnhild.Sven Alvson moved to Mydland and was a tenant farmer there his wholelife, even though he owned 8 eng. in Gyland. In the reckoning of 1677on Mydland, he and his wife, Gura Olsdotter have 4 sons and 4 daughters, and own 8 eng. ancestral farm on Gyland." This is also the Sven (Svend) in the 1624 letter example, I believe. Although the letter indicates his ownership of Hamar and Urdal instead of Mydland.
