While looking through Ancestry.com today for any links to my Norwegian ancestors, I noticed your Tree. I also noticed some errors in some of the names and spellings also a few dates you don't have. I own a copy of the bygdebok for Fjotland area farms, "Fjotland Gards og Ætte Soge", by Johan Jerstad & Tor Veggeland. There is no publication date, but some of the latest entries are for the 1980s. I would be happy to do any look-ups you might need.

Hello,

While looking through Ancestry.com today for any links to my Norwegian ancestors, I noticed your Tree. I also noticed some errors in some of the names and spellings also a few dates you don't have. I own a copy of the bygdebok for Fjotland area farms, "Fjotland Gards og Ætte Soge", by Johan Jerstad & Tor Veggeland. There is no publication date, but some of the latest entries are for the 1980s. I would be happy to do any look-ups you might need.

[His name was actually spelled Olav Gudtormson Fjotland - the passage is on pg. 205, entry No. 3:

There is more in this chapter on this farm if you are interested--I don't speak Norwegian, but can read some of it. What I type, though, is word for word right from the book. With a name like Larson, you probably know your share of the language.
The chapter on the Garden Fjotland or Fjotland Farm is 7 pages, total with a photo of, Ståle Alvson Lindefjell with a caption which reads: "Den første landhandlar i Fjotland, Ståle Lindefjell."
