Meredith enters the locker room, and places her bag next to Christina. Izzy slams her locker shut and gives Meredith a pointed look as she leaves, George close behind Izzy, pointing at Meredith, then to Christina. Meredith sighs and turns to open her locker to change into her scrubs.
"What was that about?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing? Yeah. I really don't believe that. It's Barbie and Bambi."
"Ok. Fine. Do you want to stay at the house?"
"Of course I do. I don't have anywhere else to go."
"If you want to stay, you need to start helping out around the house. You're clothes are all over the living room. You never take a single dish to the kitchen."
"I don't do dishes."
"If you want to stay, you need to make an attempt Christina."
"I don't clean and I don't do dishes."
"What about helping with cooking dinner?"
"I don't cook, either."
Bailey sticks her head into the locker room and spies her two remaining interns.
"Are you two done with the heart to heart? Because I do believe that this is a hospital with patients. Patients whose lives need saving."
"Yes, we're done. Totally ready to work," Meredith says, slamming her locker shut and pulling her stethoscope around her neck and turns to leave the locker room, Christina hot on her heels.
Meredith, Christina, George, Alex, Bailey, Ripley and Derek are all crammed into Jeremy's room.
"Presenting?"
"Jeremy Wilder age 35. In a car accident before Christmas. Dr. Buffet performed the Halstead-Reitan Battery tests on Mr. Wilder. She discovered that there is extensive brain damage. We will be going in to try and repair the damage," George explains.
"Good. O'Malley, you're with Sheppard today. Buffet, will you be looking on from the gallery?"
"Heck no. Blood makes me squeamish. An open brain flap, I would definitely be on the floor."
"Skull flap. All right then."
Ripley wears a pair of scrubs as she exits the patient's room, looking slightly annoyed. George grabs her and pulls her aside.
"Hey, everything ok?"
"Yes. Why wouldn't everything be ok?"
"I don't know. You look..."
"Look like what George?"
"Nothing."
Ripley huffs off in the direction of her office.
In the next patient's room, Christina is presenting.
"This is Melinda Mayfield, age 14. Shes in need of a heart transplant."
"Who's the attending doing the surgery?"
Christina pauses for a moment and opens up the chart to look up Baileys question. Dr. Burke?
"Yang you're scrubbing in. Get Melinda prepped for surgery."
"Can't I...?"
"Don't you think you could learn from Dr. Burke, world renowned cardiothoracic surgeon?"
"Of course I can."
