| The McVille Journal McVille, Nelson Co. ND Thursday July 12, 1917 Death of Mrs. Rasmus Knudsen Mrs. Rasmus Knudsen died Monday at the hospital after an illmess of several months, but it was only 3 weeks previous to entering the hospital that her condition became critical. Every thing was done to save her life but the doctors gave no hope for her from the very start. She grew constantly worse until death relieved her sufferings, the case being one of chronic blood poisoning. In her death comes the loss of a young mother to seven little children, the youngest at nine months, and the oldest about 10 years of age all living, together with her husband. Other relatives are Mrs.Oscar Debing and Mrs. Halvor Orseth, cousins. Deceased was 29 years of age, and came here from Norway in 1905. The family resides on the late Herman Knudson [no relation that we know of] farm in Center township, Nelson Co. ND. The funeral was held Wednesday at the Center Church and was largely attended. Rev. Haatvedt officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Center Cemetery. |
