HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE CLASS-MATES WHO TURNED 70 THIS YEAR -- Doug Collier, Lee Stilwell, ?, ?, ?, ? , ?
Shirley Ruth Allen Smith Teater went home to our heavenly father on July 18th 2009. Shirley will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her and will be waiting for them with open arms at Heaven�s gate.
She was born Jan 8, 1942 to Steve and Ada Allen of K-Falls and attended Roosevelt and graduated from KUHS in 1960. She is survived by her husband Denny R. Teater who she married in June of 1968 as well as her daughter Charlene M. Mangual (Smith) (VA), her son Erik A. Teater (AZ) and her grandchildren William A. Mangual (USMC Iraq), Christiana M. Mangual (VA) and brothers-in-law Don Jones of K-Falls and Oran Teater and wife Janie of Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gene Allen and sister Yvonne Jones.
She was an avid reader, seamstress, artist, cook, hobbyist and gardener as well as holding several positions during her life as a professional business woman including the Meese Ranch working for George Peppard, the United Way, Merle West Medical Center and Manager of a jewelry store. She started her own business known as �Shirley�s Specialties� more than 30 years ago where she repaired, designed and created jewelry.
At her request there will be no service or memorial held. She donated her hair to the �WIGS for KIDS� cancer patients and her body to the �OREGON HEALTH SCIENCE UNIVERSITY (OHSU)�. Contributions of hair and/or money can be made by calling (440) 333-4433. Or  (OHSU) (503) 494-8302. (Herald and News)
