The Ladder & Door
On Temple Island
The elevator to Temple Island's fire marble dome wan't
always there. Originally, there was simply a square hole in the ground, that you
uncovered by raising the first elevator, completing the
above catwalk (You have to do this in the finished game, but you uncover the second
elevator). On the side of this hole was a door with a ladder
on it--you climb down the ladder, then go through the door into the passage that
the elevator leads to in the finished game (Actually, the
old passage was a bit wider). They probably changed it 'cause it was sneaky to hide
one elevator on top of another :) It made it harder to
access Temple Island's fire marble dome. Also, if the elevator that connects the
catwalk is up, how are you supposed to keep going down
the path, if there's a big hole in front of you? :) Anyway, there are 5 pictures of this
ladder and door, that are still on RIVEN Disc 2.
